To Skai The most stupid talk- and gameshows from all around the world. I have
seen a Japanese talk show. I think they are awesome because they talk really
fast and you have no idea what they're talking about and it's really funny. I
also watch some Japanese talk shows because I am Asian and there is nothing else
on. I think they are the only talk/game shows I watch because a lot of talk
shows in the U.S. are stupid like Jenny Jones, because almost every episode is
about women having their past sex partners taking paternity tests to see if
don't watch it! ^-^ So I don't watch talk/game shows unless they are some type
of Asian talk/gameshows.

Talk shows
There are a lot of kinds of talk shows. They can be for children, adults and
teenagers. But the most famous shows are for adults, because in such shows
people discuss political questions, scandals. I think that the program becomes
popular when it discusses actual problems of nowadays. Despite this, a lot of
programs are entertaining shows. It is not bad, but besides of comedy shows we
have a lot of comedy films, that is why entertaining shows are inefficient. In
such programs not very busy people often take part, because they might want to
be famous, to attract people’s attention or to solve their own problems.
The most famous and favorite show in our country is “Big laundry” show. I
think that the fame of any show depends first of all on the leader of the
program. The leader of this program is a young fellow, who is a very sociable
man. He can ask tactful and actual questions, and he can get rid of any quarrel
among participants of his show quite easily. Participants and audience are the
most important things in the show. I think that talk shows can’t help us to
solve problems, because the majority of shows end with different scandals or
arguements. But only this method of talk shows attracts audience’s attention,
because some people may think that difficult situations of other people are
funny, and when they laugh at them, they can relax. Of course, a lot of talk
shows, in order to improve their
programs, invite different famous people connected with show business, politics.
They make shows more efficient.

Hi!!
Thank you for the response!! My name is Silke from "skai" and I would
like to answer your mail!! I think, here in Germany there isn' t a talkshow,
everybody watches. most of the shows come in the noon and they are mostly bad!
(I don' t know a German channel, which broadcasts talkshows in the evening!)
They talk about little problems in families or friendships! In my opinion, that'
s very boring, because I' m not interested in problems of other persons! But I
think, there are also people who like that kind of talkshows. I don' t like
German talkshows, because they are so boring!!!There are sitting people, who are
there, because they have had a little controversy with their parents or with
somebody else!! Ohh, in my opinion that' s terrible, but I respect the people,
who like these shows, (but I' m not able to understand them!!) Ok, that' s
enough for today, because, if I wrote more, I would become crazy! No, that was a
joke! very funny, heh?! Ok, this mail isn' t good, but I hope you’ll write a
response!!

SKAI: McDonalds or Burger King
I prefer McDONALDS!! I love
McDonalds. Especially
the fries, because they are way salty. I don't really like Burger King because
all their burgers are basically the same. And they don't have very good desserts
either. I eat fast food at least twice a week, because I have a lot of things to
do and I don't have time to cook! When it comes to choosing what i like the best
out of home cooked meals or fast food, I'd have to say it depends what mood in.
My absolute favorite fast food place is Panda Express, even though some people
might not count it as a fast food joint.

Food always plays a big role in our life because fresh food is one of the
reasons of good health. That’s why many people prefer normal food, which is
cooked at home and looks very appetizing. However, some people with difficult
schedule of their work don’t have enough time for cooking food themselves and
that is why they prefer eating out visiting self –services, canteens, buffets
and snack bars where they can eat in short time and not spend a lot of money.
One of the well-known examples is Mc.Donalds. But now the reputation of
Mc.Donalds isn’t as popular as it was before due to many complaints of young
Americans and other people about the quality of this food. The matter is that
many people who eat Mc.Donald food very often, have gained too much weight. Of
course, when we have to stay the whole day in school or at work we don’t have
such a chance to eat normal food. And very often our break is very short to have
a meal out. That is why we sometimes eat fast food. In our school during ten
minutes break between lessons we usually go to our school canteen for a snack, and we usually buy hotdogs or
steaks. But if you have a good meal in the morning at home, you won’t feel
hungry for a long time.
Fast food influences not only your country but also our country. A lot of new
food companies such as: “Crystal”, “Doner”, “Pizza Bluz”, “Voyage”,
“Kleopatra” and etc. have appeared for the last few years. But people from
our town visit these cafes on special occasions only, because we have got used
to cooking healthy food ourselves. It’s very good for our health because we
don’t have any problems with our weight though we have to spend much time near
the ovens. And if you want to experience our cuisine you are welcome to our
country.

Hi!!
Thank you for the response to our topic! my name is Silke. Here in Germany we
have also fast food restaurants: "Burger King", "MC
Donalds", "Pizza Hut" and many more! You see they are mostly
American "restaurants"! I think, the most popular fast food place is
Mc Donalds, because it' s everywhere! Even in our little town!
In Germany we only have school till the noon, so everybody eats at home, and I
think, most of the families are cooking "normal" food! But in my
opinion, everybody sometimes eats fast food. A friend told me that even the
cucumbers are frozen, so (nearly) nothing is really fresh! That cannot be very
healthy!!! In a TV show, I' ve seen a woman, who has found a head of a chicken
in her "chicken McNuggets".
Hmmm, that' s really delicious!!!
In German I would be able to write a whole page, but in English, it' s difficult
and so I tried to tell you the most interesting things!!!

Food – reply to Kazakstan
When I come back from school I
always get a warm meal. Usually it's something good like a salad or something
else.
I like to eat a lot of things but I don't like FAST FOOD.
I think so because the food doesn't taste good and here we have heard something
bad about MC DONALDS. E.G.: The food is a mixture of old rests from animals. As
well I think the food contains preservatives. I don't want to deny that you can
find preservative in other food as well. In spite of this I wouldn't eat FAST
FOOD.
My mother tries to train us eating good food because I'm a little person and I
have to grow and altogether she wants us to eat good food.
I agree with you when you say that the people don't have enough time to cook at
home and eat good food. All the people who eat FAST FOOD and things like this
have got a problem when they don't balance it with sport or good food. They will
become fat after some time.
I always eat something in the morning and get something to eat at school.
So I don't become hungry in the morning.
Okay I don't eat the best food (pizza, chocolate) but I balance it with good
food.
In conclusion I think I don't need the food from MC DONALDS or BURGER KING.

think that's awesome, because I enjoy writing and drawing as well. I also
see that your group likes to talk about music, what kind of music do you like?
I mostly like rock and heavy metal. My favourite bands are The Beatles,
Nine Inch Nails, and Tool, among dozens of others. By the by, I live in
Lynnwood, Washington. I have a Balinese cat called Maxim and he's
incredibly paranoid. I'm going to be 13 in November, and no one would
guess I'm this young by meeting me because of the way I act and

My favourite authors are Wolfgang and his wife Heike Hohlbein. Perhaps you think
something about these authors..They have written "Märchenmond" (Fairy
Tale Moon), "Märchenmondskinder" The Children of Fairy Tale Moon) and
"Das Druidentor" (The Druid’s Gate). My famous books are
"Wolfsherz" and "Die
Prophezeiung" (Prophecy). "Wolfherz" means wolfheart but I don`t
know how I can describe "Die Prophezeiung". On Thursday Wolfgang
Hohlbein is coming in my town. W. Hohlbein is writing about fantasy and
Science-fiction.
I don`t know anything about Avi and Jack London. What kind of books do they
write?
I think, that there are some different cultures.
The news on TV show some cruel pictures about the police there. Is that really

Dear Inka Germany,
I'm glad you wrote back! I have never heard of Wolfgang or Heike Hohlbein. Maybe
we don't have their books here, or I just never gotten a chance to read them.
Hopefully someday I will, they sound interesting. Avi has written a lot of my
favorite books, 'Poppy', 'Poppy and Rye', 'Ragweed', and many others. Most of
his books are fantasy and they take you to other worlds with adventure and
mystery. Jack London wrote 'Redwall', which is an adventure fantasy book about
different animals coming together to protect redwall abbey from villains trying
to take it over. Both of these authors try to teach you lessons through their
books, fight for what you believe in, always forget your differences and work
together.
The police here are usually very nice and try to help you. I'm sure that not all
of the police are like saints, but they aren't all cruel to people either. They
help you if you cant find where you need to go, and they are very understanding
from my experience. What is your country like? I think it's probably very
similar to here but there may be a few differences.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiyyyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaa Inka! How are you? Good I hope
for I am just peachy. So Silke and Kyra are in France? That sounds
so cool, I'd like to go to France one day . . . I do love dragons, but I
kind of like the ones that try to bite your head off if you make them mad.
I mean the nice ones are cool too, but I saw the movie "Reign of Fire"
(it's about a dragon that takes over the world and all the humans are forced
underground and all that) so now I have a fascination with them, but I also saw
"Dragonheart" so dragons are the good guys too. I think fast
food is ok, but if you eat too much of it you will become overweight so it is
bad. However, I do like the occasional ice cream cone from Mc Donalds, but I
don't like hamburgers and I haven't eaten one in my entire life (that I can
remember . . .), so I don't go to Mc D's very often. So that's all for now.
