Moin ! - that's a typical welcome in our region !

We, that means four students of the age of 16 and 17 years, want to establish a connection to the world with the help of a project of our English teacher. We attend the eleventh grade of the Mariengymnasium in Jever, our hometown and English is one of our main subjects. That's why we have to learn this language with the help of you. But in order to make it also interesting for you we chose some good topics for our coming conversation per E-mail.
The first topic is one of our favourite hobbies. We play PC Games in our freetime. Especially the Halflife modification Counter-Strike, generally speaking the so called ego shooters. But we play strategic games like DiabloII or Starcraft, too. Three of us are having a flatrate so we can play over the internet with their connection.
Another topic is beer. German beer is very good and famous world wide and there are thousands of beers only in our country and one of them is produced in our town. We chose it because we thought that this might be an issue you can talk about like we do.
The last one is a topic that not all of us can discuss about. It's "The Lord of the Rings" written by J.R.R. Tolkien. You could have read the book or at least watched the film but never mind if you haven't.

PC Games:
Which equipment do you use playing games? Which games do you play? Do you play over the internet? Which connection do you have? Do you have a clan? When have you started playing?

Beer:
Which first experinces do you have - maybe with accidents? When did you get your first beer? Are you allowed to drink beer? Which beer do you drink - your favourite beer? How much beer do you consume in a month?

Lord of the Rings:
Have you read the book or watch the film? What do you think? Are the actors well chosen?
